Marks Farm Community Centre is a medium sized community centre in Braintree. Its main use is to provide community facilities for local residents. It has a changing room to the rear managed by Braintree District Council and its current tenant is a small to medium sized events business, who hire out their space to a nursery and also for events. The existing heating systems in both buildings have reached the end of their serviceable life and are now life expired, resulting in increasing maintenance needs and risk of failure. The refurbishment will replace outdated components, improve accessibility, renew mechanical and electrical systems, and ensure compliance with current building, health and safety and landlord obligations. The works will also support ongoing lettability of the building's and contribute to maintaining statutory standards such as minimum energy efficiency requirements.
