Summary of the contracting process

Birmingham City Council is seeking bids for a framework agreement titled "P0254 - Cleaning Services for Temporary Accommodation and Communal Areas of Sheltered and Low Rise Accommodation." This procurement falls under the cleaning services industry and is intended for various sheltered housing and low-rise accommodation sites within Birmingham, specifically divided into four lots based on different geographic areas. The procurement is currently at the Tender stage, with a deadline for submitting the Selection Questionnaire by noon on 5th June 2017. The successful contractors will commence their services on 1st April 2018 for an initial period of two years, with the potential for a one-year extension.

This opportunity presents business growth potential primarily for companies specialising in cleaning services, particularly those experienced in managing contracts for communal areas and temporary accommodation. As the Council intends to award no more than two lots to each contractor, there are multiple opportunities to secure contracts within various regions of Birmingham. Businesses with expertise in building-cleaning and accommodation cleaning services are especially encouraged to participate, given the Council’s commitment to utilising this framework agreement not just for itself but also for other contracting bodies.
