Notice Title

Structural Work at 27 & 30 Mossbeck Court, Eckington

Notice Description

Rykneld Homes Ltd (RHL) working with, and on behalf of, North East Derbyshire District Council (NEDDC), is seeking to appoint a contractor to underpin the gable wall and part of both front and rear elevations & repair works to the above flats. Customers at both flats have been decanted whilst the following work is undertaken. Following investigations at the above we found that there has been lateral movement of the property. The blocks have separated from the beam, some have cracked, and there is a pattern of external cracking suggesting foundation failure and the internal cracking is in line with the suspected failure. This was noted previously but trial pits were inconclusive. External cracking to the front below lounge window and to the rear adjacent entrance door below bathroom, window, above and downstairs.
