Notice Description

Essex County Council is seeking to carry out a procurement process for the provision of experts by experience for Care and Treatment Reviews (CTRs) and Care, Education and Treatment Reviews (CETRs). The procurement intends to identify a provider that will provide a pool of appropriately experienced and trained people with a lived experience of learning disability and/or autism to take part in CTRs and CETRs. The service will also provide support to commissioners within the Learning Disability Health Equality Team. The proposed approach to Experts by Experience supports wider commissioning intentions to focus on prevention, independence, and the assets and strengths of families, adults and communities. This will help ECC to deliver key responsibilities and duties under the Care Act and as a member of the Transforming Care Partnership.
