Notice Title
Traffic Signals RMS (Remote Monitoring System) Replacement
Notice Description
Renew the existing Traffic Signals remote monitoring system and supply the add on (Urban Traffic Control System) UTC component. The Authority currently operates a Siemens/Yunex remote monitoring system which provides monitoring of traffic signal faults at 137 traffic signal sites, which is 92% of traffic signal installations. The remote monitoring system provides a fault monitoring and detection system which allows signal faults to be monitored and reported autonomously. This ensures that faults are detected and addressed quickly which reduces the safety and capacity impacts that signals faults could have on the highway network. All traffic signal equipment in County Durham has been standardised and is supplied by Siemens/Yunex. Siemens/Yunex provide the RMS (remote monitoring software) to communicate with the Siemens/Yunex equipment operating at the traffic signals. The current system has reached the end of life and now requires replacement. Additional information: This contract was awarded utilising the Direct Award Option within Lot 7 of the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) Transport Technology & Associated Services Framework ref RM6099
