The Coal Authority is initiating a procurement process for "Ground Investigation Works," which falls under the construction industry. This process is currently in the planning stage, with a key engagement deadline set for 11th November 2019. Contractors well-versed in using the UK Specification for Ground Investigations and familiar with NEC4 Framework Contracts will have a strong advantage. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to apply, particularly those with expertise in environmental assessments, geophysical prospecting, and laboratory services, as successful bidders will secure a place in a four-year framework that could lead to ongoing projects and partnerships within the coalfield areas.
