COVID-19 VACCINATIONS PROGRAMME - Cool Boxes for Vaccine Transportation
Notice Description
Following the approval of a new vaccine, we have an urgent requirement for Cool Boxes and gel packs/ice bricks and temperature probes to be able to transport the vaccines for the roving model. Key Features should include: - Cold chain vaccine storage up to 8 hours between 2-8C - 2L minimum (please share different sizes if available) - Manual carry option - Should be suitable for search & rescue, paramedic teams, short community visits and transfers between wards - Designed for storage of medicines (CE Marked) - Maintain temperature of contents (cold life) following opening for up to 1 minute ten times in use for at least 6 hours - Must not expose the vaccines to freezing in use - Cool box must be designed to fully protect vaccines from direct contact with cool packs (if frozen) - In-built calibrated temperature logger with temperature display (human-readable without opening the cool box) for monitoring load temperature (if not in-built, will need to be purchased separately) - Cool Packs to be provided (chilled or frozen depending on design) - Detailed user instructions Thermal bag duration: - 250D Tarpaulin - YKK metal zips - Metal fittings Infection Prevention Features: - Material and inner lining are wipe clean and waterproof - Manufactured with anti-bacterial, anti-static and anti-fungal material - Velcro-free design - Ant-rot stitching for easy wipe down - Public Health England and equivalent standards Number required: up to 3,000 Required by: 15th January 2021 Delivered to: DHL Warehouse, CV8 3LF Potential Suppliers should provide the following details by email to andrewfirth@nhs.net by 5pm on Wed 6th January: - Your ability to meet the product specification above - How many units you are able to supply by 15th January 2021 (not being able to supply the full amount will not exclude you from this competition) - Confirmation of size of cool box - Cost per unit (cool box and gel packs/ice bricks/probes etc) - The crate/pallet size/weight for delivery
