PHE have awarded a Contract to Qiagen Ltd for the capital purchase of two Pyrosequencers. This was a Direct Award under Lot 2 of the PHE Microbiology Framework. Qiagen Ltd are the sole manufacturer and distributor of Pyrosequencers and hold the intellectual property rights to the "sequnecing by sythesis technoloy" (Pyrosequencing).
