PIN: The Provision of a Primary Care Mental Health and Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Service on behalf of NHS Leeds Clinical Commissioning Group
Notice Description
On behalf of NHS Leeds Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), NHS Shared Business Services invites providers to a pre-procurement engagement event in relation to a potential tender for the provision of a Primary Care Mental Health and Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Service. Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) is a means of enabling people with common mental health problems, such as depression and anxiety disorders, to access evidence based psychological therapies. A person accessing IAPT will be assessed and provided with a level of support appropriate to their needs. This may be in a group, online or 1:1 face to face. The type of support given is dependent on the person's needs at the time of assessment, and a range of different therapies are available. In April 2018 the three local Clinical Commissioning Groups (Leeds West, Leeds North and Leeds South and East) merged into NHS Leeds CCG. As one CCG we intend to commission a Primary Care Mental Health service for Leeds once the current IAPT contracts come to an end on 30th September 2019. The purpose of this Prior Information Notice is to commence a consultation and engagement process to co-design a service specification that meets local needs and addresses some of the unmet need in primary care. Following this the CCG expects to conduct a tender exercise for the Primary Care Mental Health and IAPT service as required under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. This process is expected to be completed and the successful provider(s) mobilised by 1 October 2019. We will be running a series of engagement event as follows: * Mon 16th July, 1pm - 4pm, Village Hotel Headingley * Wed 15th August, 9.30am - 12.30pm, Thackray Medical Museum * Thursday 6th September 5pm - 8pm, Holiday Inn Garforth If you would like to attend one of these events please register your interest on the EU Supply procurement portal. Once registered on the portal, please complete a registration form and return it via the portal's messaging facility. To register on EU Supply please log on to the following website: https://nhssbs.eu-supply.com and look for tender reference number 31898. The registration form will be available to download from 12th June 2018, please register at least one week in advance in order to guarantee a place at your preferred engagement event. Please note that: - The agenda will be the same for each of the three events, therefore it will only be necessary to attend one event. - There is a capacity of 60 attendees at each event therefore each organisation will be limited to a maximum of 4 attendees per event (if you wish to send more than 4 attendees, please register for separate events). - Any queries related to these engagement events should also be addressed via the EU Supply messaging facility. Following each event, attendees will be asked to complete a short survey online. At the end of the engagement NHS Leeds CCG will write a report to share the findings. Additional information: You can find out more about IAPT by accessing this link: https://www.england.nhs.uk/mental-health/adults/iapt/ An expression of interest in this engagement exercise will not automatically entitle involvement in any future procurement exercise. The subsequent procurement will be advertised separately and all organisations wanting to participate will need to respond to the procurement advertisement when published. Please note that this is not a Selection Questionnaire (SQ), we are using the functionality within the procurement portal to communicate with interested parties.
