Social work fast-track entry programme

Notice Description

The Department intends to procure a fast-track entry programme that recruits and provides participants with a two year regulator-approved training course, leading to a postgraduate social work qualification within 14 months and an MA within two years. The contract will run for three years initially with the option to extend for a further two years based on annual performance and value for money assessments. The contract will run from early 2016 to end March 2019 (in the first instance), with the first cohort of the programme starting training in summer 2017. It should produce at least 1,100 outstanding qualified social workers over three cohorts of participants. Funding for this programme is subject to the outcomes of the Spending Review 2015. A contract will only be issued once the available funding has been confirmed. The Department reserves the right to end the procurement process at any time. Additional information: Any supplier who wishes to book a place on the Supplier Day should email SW.FASTTRACKTENDER@education.gsi.gov.uk by 3pm Monday 26 October if possible to book a place. Start and end dates of the contract: Start early 2016 and end March 2019 with the option to extend for a further two years. The contract will cover the recruitment and training of three cohorts. We will be running supplier surgery sessions on Tuesday 27th October at Piccadilly Gate, Store Street, Manchester. Funding for this programme is subject to the outcomes of the Spending Review 2015. A contract will only be issued once the available funding has been confirmed.
