Notice Title
Soft Market testing: New Fosseway - Extra Care Homes
Notice Description
The council wish to find out the level of interest from the market for an ECH development at New Fosseway, Hengrove, Bristol (see site plan attachment to the ITT), by conducting a soft market testing exercise. Interested parties should complete feedback questions uploaded to ProContract by 12 noon GMT on 15th October 2018. Please follow this link - https://procontract.due-north.com/Advert?advertId=cb72a236-a5bc-e811-80ef-005056b64545 The Council is seeking to develop circa. 200 extra care apartments, for market housing (private rent, shared equity, for sale) and 30% affordable housing comprising of: 77% social rent and 23% shared ownership (40% equity sale and 1.5% rental on retained equity), as per the council's planning policy BCS17. The 200 extra care units will be tendered for; a design, build and operate basis. It anticipated that a development of this size will attract a consortium approach to deliver the design, build and operator elements, but this could also be the same provider. The Council would also like to invite you to the 'Working together to deliver Better Lives through developing Housing, with Care and Support' event to be held on Thursday 1st November 2018, at City Hall, starting at 1pm. At this event you will hear the Council's intentions to increase the number of housing options with care and support across Bristol, for older and disabled adults. The Council will set out our current and future plans which will include a number of potential tendering opportunities that you may be interested in. This event is aimed at Housing (developer, housing management, or both) and Care providers who either wish to extend or start their portfolio of housing with care and support within Bristol.
