Notice Description

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT), as the contracting authority, expects to commission the full treatment pathway (outpatient, pre-assessment, procedure, follow up, physiotherapy) for some areas of specialties. It is anticipated that the trust will refer patients directly from original referral from GP /Dentist or following addition to the admitted waiting list at the trust. The expectation is that all Referral to Treatment (RTT). Outsourced services will support the trust's commitment to NHS England and monitor to eliminate all patients waiting over 52 weeks by the end of November 2019. It is anticipated that the proposed contract(s) would be awarded for an initial term of 2 years, with an option to extend for up to a further 2 years (two 12 months periods). Any extension will be exercised at the discretion of the authority. Additional information: BHRUT (as the authority) is planning a market engagement event, the purpose of which is to explain the business requirement and procurement strategy options in more detail. It is anticipated that this event will take place in August 2018 at a location yet to be determined. Full details are subject to final confirmation.
