Summary of the contracting process

Leicestershire County Council is currently facilitating a tender process titled "Supported Accommodation for Young People (16+) Framework 2019 Reopen." This procurement process aims to secure service providers for supported accommodation aimed at young people aged 16 and above, including unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and those at risk of homelessness. The framework, which began on 1 August 2017, is classified under health and social work services with a total estimated value of £5,000,000. The tender period for this process ended on 20 May 2019, with the contract period running from 1 August 2019 to 31 July 2020, located in the East Midlands region of the United Kingdom.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses focused on health and social services, particularly those that can provide accommodation and support services for vulnerable young people. Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprises (VCSEs) are specifically encouraged to participate in this process, and they are well-suited to compete due to the nature of the services required. Companies with expertise in social work, youth accommodation, and related fields may find this an advantageous opportunity for business growth, especially as local authorities are increasingly looking to diversify their service providers.
