Notice Title
Historic England - The Supply of LAN Services
Notice Description
The Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission is a non-Departmental Public Body created by statute in 1983. It was formerly known as 'English Heritage' but changed its name to 'Historic England' in 2015. We are the government's independent expert advisory service for England's historic built environment, providing advice and guidance to local authorities, property owners and the public. We champion historic places and help people to care for them, now and in the future. In 2015 HE formed a charity called the English Heritage Trust (referred to as EHT in the rest of this document) to which HE has delegated responsibility for caring for over 400 historic buildings, monuments and sites. These are located throughout England, sometimes in remote areas. HE provides Information and Management Technology (IMT) services to EHT. Some of the services which we aim to procure under this contract are being procured so that HE can supply them on to EHT, or to support HE's provision of IMT services to EHT. For more information about Historic England and the English Heritage Trust please see our websites: Requirement To adopt and support the existing LAN infrastructure . To provide a new design and a detailed migration path to the upgraded or replaced infrastructure. To provide a fully managed service for the duration of the contract as described in the attached Service Description.
