Notice Description

This is a early opportunity notice to assist Hampshire County Council's knowledge of the markets ability to support the requirement for a Media Consultant to assist the Public Health Team in supporting Suicide Prevention Strategies. Hampshire County Council is carrying out this market engagement to assist in understanding the markets approach and ability to support the following requirement which will include but not be limited to the following. Hampshire County Council (HCC) Public Health and its partners are proposing to enter into a contract with a suitably qualified provider to develop a system-wide communications strategy to support the response to suspected suicide incidents, in particular those involving children and young people, incidents that occur in public places and potential suicide clusters. The purpose of this workstream will be to ensure safe, responsible and cohesive reporting of suicide from a range of stakeholders across Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System. This will include working with existing organisations that promote positive reporting of suicides such as the Samaritans. A suitable provider will have extensive experience delivering public sector communication strategies and will have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the challenges and risks surrounding suicide prevention and postvention communication. Registration on Hampshire County Councils In-Tend Portal and completion of any early opportunity or future market engagement questionnaire does not constitute an expression of interest in any tender, nor is it a Selection Questionnaire. Responses will not be used to evaluate organisations, create a shortlist or guarantee inclusion or exclusion from any resulting tender exercise. Hampshire County Council also reserves the right not to continue with this early or market engagement exercise or any subsequent tender. Organisations will not be advantaged or disadvantaged by responding to this notice. However the response maybe used to correctly reflect HCC requirements in line with the markets offerings and inform the Council's procurement strategy. Any subsequent tender which may be issued will require formal registration and appropriate assessment in line with the procurement documents supplied at that time.
