Procurement of Submarine Signal Ejector - The authority is considering placing a 5-year contract (3 years firm priced, 2 years fixed) plus 2 fixed price option years for the supply of the SSE Pyrotechnics. UK and NATO SMs (Submarine) use submerged launched pyrotechnics for several functions for both safety and operational reasons which include: a. Indication of a submarine emergency or distress (DISSUB) via a red signal flare - Red Grenade (RG). b. Marking of SM position for Fishing Vessel Avoidance or for tactical exercise - Candle Smoke White/Yellow CSW / CSY. c. Indication of a SM attack on a surface vessel or vessels - Green Grenade (GG).
