UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) will shortly be embarking on an Open OJEU procurement to establish a contract for the provision of a 12 months contract for the Global Young Innovators pilot programme which will bring together, support, fund and champion young innovators (aged 18-30) from the UK and developing partner countries to address and solve global challenges. Innovate UK has secured funding from the GCRF budget to deliver the Global Young Innovators Programme pilot programme which is designed to bring together, support, fund and champion young innovators from the UK and developing partner countries to address and solve global challenges. The aim of the tender exercise is to find a delivery partner to run the pilot the Global Young Innovators programme. The winning provider will need to: * Developing new global peer groups - bringing together young innovators (aged 18-30) from the UK and developing countries. * Creating a platform for young people to contribute their ideas and UK and South African young innovators to work together to collaboratively develop new solutions to solving critical global challenges. * Enabling young people to develop crucial business skills and develop their ideas into viable businesses through funding and support. * Building equitable partnerships with community organisations, businesses as ambassadors and NGOs in partner developing countries (South Africa) to frame challenges and support young innovators * Identifying, supporting and celebrating the innovators and leaders of the future The above list is only indicative and a full details will be shared as part of the tender package once this has been finalised.
