Notice Description

SUAT is seeking to procure grounds maintenance services on behalf its academies. The purpose of this notice is to inform potential suppliers about SUAT an upcoming tender for the supply of grounds maintenance services, which will be detailed fully within the invitation to tender and further accompanying tender documentation, which will provide suppliers with the information needed to enable them to submit a bid for the opportunity. Such documentation is due to be released on 21st May and will be provided for those suppliers who register their interest in bidding for the opportunity. The Staffordshire University Academies Trust is a Multi Academy Trust which currently consists of fourteen schools, of which there is one secondary school thirteen primary schools across Staffordshire; the Trust head offices are based in Stone, Staffordshire. SUAT has approximately 3,500 pupils and employs over 500 members of staff. SUAT promotes high aspirations and excellence for all. Our aim is to develop a strong partnership between the schools, pupils, and the wider community in order to secure an outstanding learning experience for everyone. We have high expectations and strive to create independent learners fit for the demands of the 21st Century. Quality facilities management in each of our schools is key in sustaining the learning and working environments of our pupils and staff and support better outcomes for all. We are running the competition to outsource the grounds maintenance services for our schools. Currently, grounds maintenance services are provided for our academies by a number of suppliers. SUAT recognises each academy as an individual, with specific requirements for the maintenance of their facilities; such specific requirements will be outlined in the tender specification document. The SUAT grounds maintenance contract commences annually, from 1st September until 31st August. The tender document is for the grounds maintenance service level agreement beginning 1st September 2019 for one academic year, until 31st August 2020, with the view to extend for a further two academic years until 31st August 2022. Providers who are interested in bidding for the opportunity should register their interest by contacting hkirkham@suatrust.co.uk, stating the tender reference number 2019/006.
