Summary of the contracting process

Sheffield City Council is initiating a tender for the "Dementia Specialist Advice Service," which falls under the health and social work services industry category. The procurement process is currently in the planning stage, with an engagement end date set for 17 August 2019. Interested parties are invited to attend an information session on 17 May 2019 at the Moorfoot Building in Sheffield, where details about the tender will be discussed. The anticipated value of the contract is £350,000, and the tender is expected to be published in June 2019.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) that specialise in dementia care and support services. Businesses equipped to provide advice, information, and peer support for those diagnosed with dementia, as well as navigation support through the disease's progression, would be well-suited to compete for this contract. Furthermore, attendance at the information session will provide insight into collaboration opportunities and service integration for potential bidders.
