Notice Description

Leicestershire County Council (LCC) Children and Family Services would like to invite interested providers to a Collaboration Event regarding residential and foster care placements for children in care. LCC's current procurement solution (East Midlands Regional Children's Framework) will end as of 31 January 2020 and there will not be a future consortia approach in the East Midlands. Therefore, LCC is progressing with a local procurement solution commencing 1 February 2020. LCC are passionate about working with providers to co-design this solution and understand what a collaborative approach could/should look like and address some of the key barriers and challenges that occur with the current approach. We are committed to developing a systemic approach to providing good quality local provision for local children at the right time. We would like to invite interested providers to the Collaboration Event which is being held on Friday 19th July 2019. There will be 2 identical sessions run on this date for you to choose at your convenience; Session 1: 10.00am - 12.00pm; Session 2: 1.00pm - 3.00pm. Information about the venue will be provided upon confirmation of registration. If your organisation would like to send a delegate to one of these sessions, please respond via email to CFSCommissioningSupport@leics.gov.uk by Wednesday the 17th of July 2019 with the following information: -Delegate Name -Role in organisation -Email address -Contact telephone -Special access requirements (if any) -Session Preference (if any) Places are initially limited to a maximum of one delegate per organisation and will be allocated on a "first come first served" basis. Depending on availability we may able to offer extra spaces. Please note, the Council intends to use the information gathered at the event to inform the development of the procurement solution for residential and foster care placements for children in care. Participating in this exercise will not affect any party positively or negatively during any eventual procurement process and the Council reserve the right not to proceed with any procurement process. Interested parties are further advised that any information given during the market engagement exercise will not form part of an interested party's tender submission and that a failure to respond to this notice will not preclude them from responding to any future contract notice. The Council will not meet any costs incurred by any party in responding to this notice.
