Notice Description

Hampshire County Council (HCC) is carrying out this market engagement exercise to aid in the proposed re-procurement of Commercial Waste Collection, Disposal and Recycling Services. The primary objective of the market engagement exercise is to understand the capabilities and capacity within the market, and to identify how the market can support the Council and gain insight into the most suitable delivery model. The Council intends to engage with market operators via an Engagement Event to gauge interest and opinion on service delivery and procurement models. The current service is delivered through a single supplier framework and the Council wishes to understand if this is the preferred model for the market. This is an opportunity to influence and shape the future delivery of the service. The Engagement Event is scheduled to take place on Friday 19th May 2023 at 10:30am -13:00pm in Room 0.01, Castle Avenue, Winchester, SO23 8UJ. In-Tend correspondence should be used to notify the Council of delegates names and contact details to book attendance to the event. If there is a particular topic you would like to hear about please send your suggestion via InTend correspondence and we will consider your proposal for discussion during the event. Please use this method of communication if you have any questions about this event. This is an indication of potential future procurement activity only. The procurement route and procedures are still to be decided and will be informed by information and feedback from interested organisations who attend the event. This is a market information exercise only and may not necessarily lead to any future procurement process. In the event that it did proceed, it is not yet certain which procurement route would be followed. Information gathered, and feedback supplied during the event, will help shape the proposed future procurement. Suppliers will be neither advantaged nor disadvantaged from involvement in this exercise.
