Notice Title
Northgate Public Sevices Hosted Solution - for VEAT Notification purposes only
Notice Description
This VEAT notice is to inform the market of the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (CBMDC) intention to enter into a 5 year contract for the support and maintenance and a change to a hosted solution of the Northgate system. CBMDC procured the Northgate system via a perpetual licensing model, with significant capital investment. There are no on-going costs associated with licencing. The on-going costs are associated with support & maintenance and hosting charges. The Northgate contract is a direct agreement with Northgate Public Services the owner of the IPR. The Northgate system is currently an on premise system which is provisioned on the Councils infrastructure. Support and maintenance agreements provide the Council the right to product upgrades and fixes . The upgrades are critical as they reflect legislative and regulatory changes. A review to establish the long term strategy for the Northgate System concluded that the preferred option was to move to a hosted solution. The hosted solution offers improved performance, increased system availability and quicker problem resolution. Northgate would be responsible for support and maintenance of the infrastructure, system upgrades, system performance and availability/monitoring. CBMDC are not looking to procure a new system. CBMDC are seeking to contract for on-going licencing and support and additional hosting of the system. Northgate created the IPR and as such are the experts in providing a hosted Northgate system. They are the only supplier that can provide a single source solution.
