Notice Title
Dementia Post Diagnostic Support Service Ref 16.312 - Market Engagement
Notice Description
On behalf of NHS Hastings and Rother CCG and NHS Eastbourne Hailsham and Seaford CCG The Commissioner wishes to use this market engagement opportunity to seek views about its strategy to commission the service. This is a process designed to help the Commissioner form a view of the best way to commission the service and is not the beginning of a Tender exercise. A further Tender advertisement will be issued at the appropriate time where required. The Dementia Post Diagnostic Support Service is a new service to enable people diagnosed with dementia and those that care for them to be able to live well with the disease. The specific aim of the service is to be the main point of contact and provide appropriate emotional & practical support, guidance and information to meet the needs of those entering the service, as well as facilitating access to well-being interventions which promote independence and quality of life. The service will be both for the person diagnosed with dementia and their family carer/supporter. It is planned that the service will commence on the 1st April 2018 and will be awarded for an initial three year period with an optional extension of up to a further 24 months. The annual budget for this service is circa PS267,000. An electronic process is being used for this market engagement. Interested parties wishing to participate must register their details on the IN-tend eSourcing portal (https://in-tendhost.co.uk/soepscommissioning/aspx/Tenders/Current) to gain access to further information and obtain the engagement documents. All correspondence will be dealt through this website. Instructions to access the portal are attached.
