Notice Description

The final date and time for the submission of bids is Monday 18th October 2021 at 11:00am DO NOT apply directly to the buyer. All tender information MUST be submitted through the Delta eSourcing Portal. Brief Description of Requirement BAS Cambridge is the centre for coordinating and managing polar science and operations. Offices, science and engineering laboratories, as well as controlled environment facilities provide the focal point for UK's polar research effort. Science Building 2 and the Logistics Buildings at our Cambridge site are key structures in housing the continuing work that goes into polar science, and as such their continued operation is critical to the success of BAS. As part of this commitment, BAS Cambridge is incrementally replacing F Gas installations with low GWP refrigerant alternatives, and this project will involve eliminating 12kg of existing R404a refrigerant with a GWP of 3,922. Aside the clear environmental benefits outlined above, the project will also provide much more conveniently located Ice Cores to the principle Ice Core scientists located within SB3, significantly reducing transit times of cores from storage to laboratory work Please ensure you review all attached information to ensure a full understanding of this requirement.
