Notice Title
Architectural Support Services For Tranche 5 Small Garage and Infill Sites
Notice Description
The Client is Wolverhampton City Council (WCC). Wolverhampton Homes (WH), an Arm's Length Management Organisation (ALMO) is wholly owned by WCC and is the designated party who will be responsible for delivering new council housing developments across the City on former garage sites and small infill pockets of land. This is a high profile activity for WCC and WH, and the selection of appropriate partners is critical to its success of the delivery of good quality, cost effective housing. The Client intends to bring forward 9 sites for residential development for which architectural design and other services will be required to progress the scheme to full planning consent stage initially. Once full planning consent has been obtained, the Client proposes that the successful Architect provides a watching brief design related service through to Practical Completion. The Client's experience in delivery of new council housing is developing and to ensure that the Client meets its business plan objectives, the Client will need to rely upon the successful Architect to produce good quality designs in line with the City Council's design and specification criteria and be able to offer practical design advice based on their experience gained from working in this market. The procurement of architectural services relates to design services for the sites detailed within Appendix A. Detail of the scope of service required has been included within Appendix A and is based on the RIBA Standard Agreement 2010 (2012 revision) including CDM Regulations April 2015: Addendum. It should be noted it is the intention that this requirement for Architectural Services will be awarded to a single supplier who will be responsible for the delivery of the entire tendered works requirement. The successful Consultant will be required to have sufficient capacity to provide Architectural and other named Services for all sites simultaneously. Additional information: This requirement is being tendered through Wolverhampton City Council's e-procurement portal which can be located at the following address: WWW.WOLVERHAMPTONTENDERS.COM Registration to the site is free and should take no longer than 5 minutes to complete. Once registered the full Invitation to Tender can be accessed and downloaded.
