University Impact Assessment Report
Notice Description
The University invites tenders to provide a full report of the findings from an audit and analysis of data relating to the impact of the institution to include recommendations for messaging and positioning outcomes. The study should include a thorough, well evidenced assessment of the impact of the University on the city of Birmingham and the wider West Midlands region, the UK and internationally in the following ways: So as not to restrict the potentially broad use of the output, once data has been analysed it will be themed in a way which is relevant to internal and external stakeholders to ensure maximum use and impact. There will be the usual headline - value to the region, value of international students, value of start-ups, etc - but it will be constructed in a way that can respond to an opportunity. For example, to support or challenge a regional, national or international agenda; to provide evidence around the value of the broad research themes; or to support a policy commission. The findings will influence exact usage, but the overarching approach will be to package the results around audiences and themes aligned to strategic objectives to provide targeted and outcome focused communications. A communications and stakeholder engagement plan will be developed to identify and maximise the opportunities the report will provide. Alongside the data, it will aim to bring the data to life wherever possible with qualitative content such as case studies and third-party commentary. A core bank of assets would include a fact file, infographics, video content and case studies.
