Notice Information
Notice Title
RAF Menwith Hill FireStation
Notice Description
We are seeking engagement for the delivery of a Fire Station at RAF Menwith Hill. The route to market will be on a framework, however, which framework is yet to be decided. We seek responses from industry as to which delivery method is preferential - single stage design and build, two stage design and build or design, bid, build (authority design). Please let us know if you would bid on this project and also irrespective of this, which your preferred option is for deign. Additional information can be found in the attachment. Additional information: Estimated value approx. PS25m. Design expected to take place late 2024 to late 2025. Construction start expected to be early 2026, to complete around 18 months later. Works are outside high security Ops area but still within overall site boundary. Full Planning application expected. Fire station and training facility will accommodate UK fire appliances and personnel but will need to conform to US design standards as well (so, not quite standard UK construction). New facility will need to accommodate 24/7/365 staffing. Base fire alarm system interface is in the fire station and is closed protocol (so, imposes a nominated sub-contractor - ADT). Project calls for new build adjacent to existing, transition from old to new, and demolition of old needed before final landscaping (so a phased approach but with no expected 'fallow' periods). Project includes 'Medical Facility' capability but this will be a simple clinic room not a specialised medical facility. E.g. no Xray or any other specialised med equipment needed. Please confirm whether you would be interested in bidding for this ITT when it goes live. Please also confirm your preference of Design/Bid/Build, which method you would be most likely to bid on; 1) 2-stage 35% design 2) Single stage 35% design 3) Single stage 100% design.
