Summary of the contracting process

The University of Sheffield is planning a procurement process for the position of Project Manager for the Translational Energy Research Centre (TERC), though the project has recently been cancelled. This initiative aims to establish a national TERC at the Advanced Manufacturing Research Campus in Sheffield, focusing on developing low carbon technologies and advanced energy systems. The cancelled project had an expected construction value of approximately £6 million, with an engagement end date of 13 July 2018.

This opportunity presents a significant prospect for businesses involved in construction consultancy and project management services, particularly those specialised in low carbon technology projects. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are strongly encouraged to participate, as their expertise will be vital in responding to the re-published tender when it is available. Businesses with experience in managing complex construction projects, sustainable energy solutions, and stakeholder engagement will be well-suited to compete for this upcoming contract.
