Notice Title

National Citizen Service Trust - Employment/Career Coaching Provider - Expression of Interest (EOI)

Notice Description

NCS Trust is seeking to procure an Employment/Career Coaching provision to deliver bespoke coaching sessions to the 18 - 24 year olds currently taking part in the UK Year of Service programme. UK Year of Service (UKYoS) places young adults into socially beneficial job roles; enabling them to build their work experience, skills, network and confidence whilst delivering impact to projects with a clear social purpose. The programme supports their ability to find sustainable and meaningful next steps into employment, further education or training. The UK Year of Service programme is for 18 - 24 year olds who experience additional barriers to employment, are furthest from the labour market, and who were not in employment, education or training (NEET) before this placement. The majority of the UKYoS cohort have a highest education attainment level as an A-level or GCSE, and have varied career experiences prior to starting their placement. For some on the cohort, this will be their first employed experience. The successful supplier must have experience in delivering coaching interventions to this audience. We are seeking a supplier to deliver bespoke, 1:1 coaching sessions to approximately 60 - 80 UK Year of Service members. We would expect the delivery of a structured coaching provision that can engage UK Year of Service members in a series of personalised coaching sessions (4 - 6) in the last three months of their placement that support their specific development areas in searching, applying and securing their next opportunity into further employment, education or training. Each coaching session plan needs to be bespoke and tailored to each individual member. Coaching sessions would be virtual. Members must go on to positive employment, education and training outcomes, the coaching provision provided must ensure members achieve at least one of the following outcomes: - Have an increased knowledge and clarity of their post-placement exit route. - Be connected to specific opportunities (using your industry knowledge and connections) -and/or have increased their practical employability skills. The coaching provision must: -Have experience delivering coaching sessions to 18 - 24 year olds and the UK Year of Service target audience -Have qualified coaches within their organisation to deliver the 1:1 coaching sessions. -Be able to deliver sessions starting from October 2024. -Be able to tailor the sessions based on the needs of each young person and within the UKYoS context. -Be well connected with key youth employability/ training networks and have an in depth knowledge of labour market trends. Timelines: September 2024: Onboarding Supplier Contract Duration: 7 months If you would like to express your interest please email procurement@ncstrust.org.uk by 12 noon on Thursday 25th July 2024 using the subject 'UK Year of Service Coaching Provider - EOI'. The Invitation to Tender pack will be available late July 2024.
