Bio-Mass Test Rig

Notice Description

To support the growing needs of the BIOENERGY research area within Energy 2050 at the University of Sheffield, PACT requires a minimum 155kWth to a maximum 340kWth, ideally 160-220kWth grate boiler for wood chip and wood/biomass pellets (possibly via an interchangeable fuel feed system) to complement its existing facilities. The boiler will primarily support Bioenergy research focused on fuel development and testing, and utilisation in CCS Technologies with a connection (by PACT from spur and valve from boiler's flue gas duct) to an onsite CO2 capture plant. (further details are available within the ITT document) Additional information: The tender documents for this requirement can only be obtained via the In-tend site referred to above. All enquiries & any tender returns must also be made via this site. (This requirement was previously published as tender ref. 1650/DM which unfortunately we were not in a position to award)
