Notice Title

Getting to Equity

Notice Description

The Getting to Equity (G2E) Sponsorship Programme provides an evidence-based framework that enables executive white leaders to promote the careers of aspiring ethnic minority nurse leaders and midwives to connect and build on existing talent that otherwise would have been missed or may not have had the opportunity to grow into senior or executive NHS leadership positions. Deliverables Deliver a culturally competent sponsorship programme for 140 Nurses (sourced from within the 7 NHS Regions) over 2 cohorts (max. 35 sponsors and 35 sponsorees per cohort). Each cohort consists of: - Use of a research tool that will support sponsorees to understand their strengths, their natural proclivities that will help them deliberately and consciously to maximise their performance as a leader. - All sponsors to undertake a research-based instrument which supports leaders to understand how to develop cultural intelligence as part of their leadership capability. - A series of virtual masterclasses designed to support participants to understand racism, anti-racism and the impact of systemic racism on the career progression of nurses and midwives from the Global Majority in the NHS. To explore the context of sponsorship and enable participants to be confident to engage with the process. - Narrative Coaching sessions designed and delivered by experts to explore, identify, and highlight relevant, specific and meaningful aspects of their life experience, communicating this in a way which creates an emotional/visceral connection with the listener. - Group Coaching sessions to further discuss and embed the themes, subjects and issues covered withing the masterclasses. This will also further embed and encourage the sponsorship role. - An effective process where each participant will be offered support to reflect and define the steps, they need to take up a sponsorship opportunity. - Facilitate access to the Virtual Alumni Community of Practice (after care) designed to draw people together to continue the work so that we can reach a place where race equality is a reality. -Undertake programme administration and management duties as set out in the comprehensive process list (enclosed) Additional information: To express interest and participate in the tender, please register and apply via Atamis e-sourcing portal https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome.
