Summary of the contracting process

The Greater London Authority (GLA), through Transport for London (TfL), is seeking suppliers for the "London commercial boiler scrappage scheme," aimed at enhancing commercial energy efficiency and reducing emissions. This pioneering contract falls under the services category, specifically for boiler installations, with a total estimated value of £450,000. The open procedure tender is currently active and invites expressions of interest with a submission deadline of 12 noon on 5 January 2018. The project will officially commence on 5 February 2018 and will run for three years until 4 February 2021, with the initial work targeted in central London, postal code SE1 2AA.

This opportunity is particularly suitable for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) with expertise in energy-efficient technologies and project administration. Businesses focused on environmental sustainability, particularly those specialising in boiler installation services, energy retrofitting, or related consultancy, can leverage this contract to contribute to London's zero-carbon objectives while expanding their market footprint. Engaging in this scheme not only aligns with governmental environmental goals but also offers significant potential for future collaboration with the GLA and local authorities.
