Summary of the contracting process

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Lincolnshire has awarded a contract for the Integrated Restorative Justice Service, which aims to facilitate communication between those harmed by crime and the offenders. This competitive procurement was conducted using the Open Procedure method, in compliance with the European Parliament's Directive 2014/24/EU, as implemented by The Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The contract spans from 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2019, with provisions for two additional 12-month extensions. The service is classified under health and social work services, particularly focusing on community health and social services. The tender period for submissions closed on 19th December 2016.

This tender presents significant opportunities for growth, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) capable of delivering restorative justice services. Businesses specialising in social services, community health services, and those providing professional and specialist organisational services could find this an advantageous procurement to participate in, particularly given the collaborative nature of restorative justice practices aimed at community rehabilitation and conflict resolution.
