Notice Description

This is a Market Testing Notice. The object of this service is to provide clinical leadership and medical input to the 3rd tier Pediatric Audiology service. Tower Hamlets CCG aims to achieve the best health and well-being outcomes for all babies, children and young people with hearing difficulty through the provision of a high quality Audiologist-led service, with Audiovestibular Consultant Input, that meet their needs.The Provider will demonstrate compliance with up to date evidence of clinical governance and effectiveness. The service should demonstrate how post-screening standards are met for the NHS Newborn Hearing Screening Quality Standards produced in 2010. The provider should also take part in and maintain accreditation to defined quality standards operating under the umbrella of the United Kingdom Accreditation Schemes (UKAS)/Improving Quality in Physiological Services (IQIPS). The commissioned service will be able to work alongside the multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams in Health, Education, Social Services and Voluntary Sector to ensure the needs of patients and their families are met. This joint approach will be reflective as necessary at all stages of the clinical pathway from antenatal to end of life needs to ensure a seamless service to patients. The combined clinical activity for both audiologist and consultant led consultations will be expected to be around 1750/year, however the provider will be expected to provide services to the registered and resident population of Tower Hamlets for the duration of the contract as required. THCCG is keen to work closely with providers to agree on the best model of care that results in a high quality experience of care, which is safe and accessible for all babies, children, young people and their families. The indicative value envelope for contract - Tier 3 and consultant time: PS329,521.32/year + PS43,200.00/year = PS372,721.32/year (inclusive of all elements including CQUIN). The specific finance envelope stated above is indicative only of activity/year. Please indicate what would be required in terms of space m2, specialist equipment and the associated costs that this would incur to the deliver the expected outlined service.
