Summary of the contracting process

Halton Housing, in conjunction with Link Asset Services, has issued a tender for the "Procurement of Fleet (Vehicles and Associated Assets) Framework". This initiative, classified under the "Transport equipment and auxiliary products to transportation" industry category, aims to establish a 48-month framework agreement for acquiring a variety of fleet assets. Although the tender process was active and published on 22 March 2020, it was discontinued prior to the award due to substantial amendments in the procurement documents. The expected contract period spans from 1 December 2019 to 30 November 2023, catering to a diverse range of organisations, including district councils and housing associations, across the UK.

This framework presents significant opportunities for businesses engaged in the supply of transport equipment and related services. Smaller organisations, particularly those offering fleet solutions ranging from sub-10 to over 500 vehicles, would find this tender well-suited for their capabilities. As the framework will support various contracting authorities throughout England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, companies that can provide competitive pricing and reliable fleet management solutions are encouraged to consider participation in future similar tenders to expand their market presence.
