Data Acquisition Electronics Unit

Notice Description

The Internal Dosimetry Group at the Centre for Radiation Chemicals and Environmental Hazards, Public Health England is planning to award a contract for data acquisition electronics unit(s) to be used in their gamma-ray spectrometry laboratory to Canberra UK Ltd. The required unit(s), also known as digital signal analyser will incorporate front-end signal conditioning, a fast digitising analog-to digital converter and programmable digital filters. The unit(s) will be compatible with existing hyper-pure germanium detectors, which have separate signal, high voltage, detector shutdown and pre-amplifier power connections. The unit(s) will also be capable of operation with existing Canberra GenieTM 2000/ ApexTM spectrometry software, which is used for all of the detectors in the gamma ray spectrometry laboratory. The system will be capable of being operated from a PC via the laboratory's Local Area Network (Ethernet).
