Parkview Upgrade Works

Notice Description

Nature: The works comprise the refurbishment and upgrade work to the Ashfield and Heathlands Units at Parkview Clinic, Moseley. With regards to the works on the Ashfield Unit, the contractor is advised that the unit will be vacated in terms of patients, however staff will still occupy a number of the adjoining rooms. Possession of Ashfield will be on commencement of the works on site. With regards to the works on the Heathlands Unit, the same will be still in use by both Patients, Staff and the public. The works will be required to be undertaken in phases as generally indicated on the phasing plan which is still subject to final review and agreement with the Trust and Users. The contractor's attention is also drawn to the fact that the works in the corridor including the replacement of doors can only be done at weekends between the hours of 8am to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday. Owing to the restricted programme, the Trust is in the process of placing Orders for the Windows (Britplas), the fitted furniture (Pineapple) and the Doors including screens and ironmongery (Kingsway). The contractor will be required to confirm sizes and numbers prior to taking receipt of the same and safely storing on site ready for installation. The contractor is required to undertake installation of the same using approved sub-contractors from the suppliers. The Trust would like to take the opportunity to replace the floor and ceiling finishes throughout the Heathlands Unit. The contractor is required to advise as part of their tender if this is possible in the anticipated programme and confirm that the rates as applied in the measured section of these bills of quantities will apply.
