Summary of the contracting process

The Home Office is conducting the Early Intervention Youth Fund tender aimed at tackling violent crime through early intervention programmes with young people. This initiative falls under the Serious Violence Strategy and invites submissions from Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) in partnership with local safety partnerships in England and Wales. The procurement process is currently in the 'Tender' stage, with a submission deadline of 28 September 2018. Bids can be made for a grant of up to £700,000 over a maximum of two years, from 2018 to 2020, with successful applications evaluated via an online questionnaire on the CCS eSourcing portal.

This opportunity is particularly well-suited for organisations focused on community safety and youth intervention initiatives, as it requires bidders to engage in non-commercial activities funded by the grant. Potential bidders must register as a 'Supplier' on the CCS eSourcing portal, and the initiative can create significant opportunities for community service providers and non-profit organisations dedicated to preventing youth violence and offering support services. To successfully compete, businesses should prepare to demonstrate their programme's sustainability and capacity for effective implementation within the allocated timeframe.
