Health Education England (HEE - the Commissioner) are putting out this notice as a PIN (Prior Information Notice) with a view to completing a Direct Award for the development and co-ordination of a national programme of Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training (OMMT) in learning disabilities and autism in medical schools in England Please note the contracting authority intends to direct award the contract to Plymouth University. The case for direct award can be found on the tender portal. Health Education England [HEE] believe that Plymouth University is the organisation practically capable of developing and co-ordinate a national programme of the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training in learning disabilities and autism in medical schools in England for the following reasons: is in a unique position to access and exploit the learning from model such as the time for dementia and time for autism. have a proven track record for delivering and leading the development and implementation of new programmes of work concerning learning disability and autism and influence and adopt in other medical schools. The financial envelope for the contract is PS45,000.
