Summary of the contracting process

NHS England, through the NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit, is planning to commission Mechanical Thrombectomy Services for Acute Ischaemic Stroke. This initiative is at the planning stage, with a key milestone, the engagement end date, set for 23rd February 2018. The procurement is targeted at Health and Social Work Services and is specifically located in London, UK. Interested providers can express their interest by registering on the Bravo e-Tendering Portal, with the deadline for submissions having previously closed on 31st August 2017.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for healthcare providers specialising in neuro-interventional services, particularly those equipped to manage Acute Ischaemic and Haemorrhagic Strokes. Businesses that can demonstrate their capability to collaborate effectively with stroke centres and provide access to trained neuro-interventionists will be well-positioned to compete. The project aims to establish a network of Neuroscience Centres, allowing interested firms to propose their service plans for implementation, which could potentially enhance their market presence in the healthcare sector.
