Notice Description

The basis of the contract will include: o Supply of a range of Radiopharmaceuticals, Pharmaceuticals along with Krypton generators as per specification. o Daily and emergency deliveries to our Nuclear Medicine department. The Trust intends to award to a single supplier but may opt to award to more than one supplier if appropriate. The contract for the supply of goods is expected to commence 1st October 2017. Contracts will be awarded for a period of 2 years with the option to extend for up to 2 x 12 month periods subject to satisfactory performance and price. Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust (thereafter referred to as the Trust) wish to secure efficiencies and economies of scale by means of a procurement exercise for meeting the requirements detailed within this documentation, achieved through the most economically advantageous tender/quotation submitted. The principal benefits anticipated by the Trust in this procurement process include; o Ability to maximise opportunities for best value and efficient services for a relatively high value contract. o To allow bidders to explore efficiencies, which may be possible by suggesting technically innovative and cost effective solutions. o Presentation of cost savings to the Trust in order to maximise economical operational efficiency and value for money.
