Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process is initiated by the Midlands & Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (CSU) for the NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire Clinical Commissioning Groups, seeking services for Adult Autism Assessment, Diagnosis, and Support. The service will be delivered in the West Midlands region of the United Kingdom, and it is classified under health and social work services (CPV code 85000000). The initiative communicates the intent to award the contract, notably to the existing provider, The Family Psychologist, without a competitive bidding process.

This tender represents a valuable opportunity for businesses specialising in autism support services, particularly those with experience in health and social care. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to consider their capabilities in delivering tailored support for adults with autism. Although the contract is intended for direct award, potential competitors may still engage with the initiation to explore collaboration or future opportunities in similar sectors, thereby fostering growth and enhancing service offerings in the region.
