Notice Description

This service will provide support for refugee families at all stages of Lewisham Council's Refugee Resettlement Programme, from pre-arrival planning through the first year and into years 2-5 of their support, transitioning them off the programme by the end of this period. It will work alongside the Council's central programme management, all mainstream provision and other bespoke provision for this programme. The service will include, but is not limited to: - Pre-arrival preparation for refugee families accepted onto the Lewisham Refugee Resettlement Programme - Initial reception services for the refugees including "meet and greet" at the airport, a welcome pack and an initial orientation - Orientation services including support to register for local health, education, ESOL and benefits services - Ongoing support over 12 months to integrate service users into the community and to build service users' skills, moving towards independence and step-down - Support for families stepped down through a drop-in centre
