Summary of the contracting process

Oxford City Council has updated its Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the supply of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and associated services. This DPS is aimed at supporting the development of EV services and is accessible to other UK public sector bodies, spanning local authorities and emergency services. The procurement falls under the 'goods' category, with a focus on electric vehicles, and is conducted using a restricted procedure under EU procurement regulations. The latest amendment sets the end date to 23 February 2029, extending the potential duration of the system's operation. Businesses must note that the DPS facilitates selective electronic submissions through the In-tend Portal, indicating a controlled and secure submission process.

This tender represents an excellent opportunity for businesses in the EV sector, particularly those involved in providing turnkey solutions, network operations, maintenance services, and consultancy relative to charging infrastructures. Companies with experience in smart technology supply, installation, and operation are well-suited to this opportunity. The dynamic nature of the DPS allows for ongoing applicant engagement and signifies prospects for firms to work closely with public authorities, potentially scaling operations by establishing long-term relationships. By joining this DPS, businesses can participate in the expansion of vital EV infrastructure across the UK, supporting sustainability goals and contributing to the rapidly growing electric vehicle market.
