As a result of the pandemic the Home Office has not continued the level of interviews for asylum seekers, therefore there is a large increase in the number of UASC young people turning 18 without a decision due to a backlog. SCC currently has 48 young people post 18 without a decision, where we still have a responsibility to provide accommodation. To support these young people in the best way possible SCC are intending to deliver a contracted HMO service. Due to the urgency contract/s will be awarded subject to Regulation 32(1) of the Public Contracts Regulations. The advertised total value of PS624,000 is the total value of both lots.
