The University needed to procure a supplier that will deliver a Network Infrastructure Refresh. The selected supplier will assist the University in providing industry guidance and advice, implementing the solution, building a software defined network, the provision of hardware, and ongoing support and maintenance of the network. The current University network is approaching end of life. To ensure the University has a network capable of delivering the existing services and future expectations of stakeholders, this Business Case recommends investment in a modern Software Defined network for an expected minimum contract life of 5 years, with an option to extend for a further two years, on an annual basis.
Renewal: There are two plus one year periods, subject to satisfactory performance, extending the agreement from 60 months (5 years) to 84 months (7 years).
