Summary of the contracting process

The Manchester City Council has initiated a public procurement process for the "TC1077 – Domestic Violence & Abuse Services," classified under health and social work services. This tender is at the award stage, with contracts expected to commence on 1st March 2021 and extend for two years. The deadline for submissions was 11 am on 6th January 2021, and interested parties must have submitted their proposals via the e-business portal known as the Chest. The contracts focus on providing crucial support for children and young people affected by domestic violence and abuse in Manchester, UK.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses that specialise in health and social work services, particularly those engaged in early intervention and prevention strategies. Organisations that offer expertise in supporting vulnerable families, along with experience in working with children and young people, would be well-suited to compete. Additionally, companies that practice social responsibility in line with the specified criteria—including quality of service and social value—are encouraged to engage, as these factors form a core part of the award process.
