Lot Information

NRT Management & Strategy Professional Services

The Network Rail Telecom (NRT) team is responsible for operating all of NRT's telecoms assets and networks. This responsibility includes handling asset life cycles as well as the development, delivery and support of outstanding telecommunication networks and services. In simple terms, NRT transports data between A and B enabling Network Rail to run operationally both on the railway (signalling, customer information systems, CCTV cameras etc.) and as a business (desk phones, mobile devices, data connections etc.). NRT is also playing a key role in the realisation of our digital railway aspiration which requires huge amounts of data to be handled securely for it to work. NRT deliver projects and programmes that support both Network Rail and the wider rail industry to benefit Great Britain's economy through more effective train operation, customer experience and industry flexibility, enabled by accelerating the application of digital technologies to the railway. This is enabled by unlocking capacity through a digitally enabled command, control and signalling system, reducing delays through improved asset monitoring and control strategies and better operational support tools and systems. This delivers a more flexible service based on demand on a safe and reliable network with fewer on-track assets to maintain. It will be underpinned by an open data approach to rail information across the industry which means passengers are presented with an integrated picture of cost, availability, payment services and real-time journey information; all of which will be enabled by a digitally enabled operating platform. A number of initiatives are already 'in flight' with the aim of delivering 'business as usual' deployment of digital technologies from CP7. In order to support the outputs required by NRT a supplier will be appointed support the delivery of our ongoing programme. Specific packages of work will be outlined in greater detail as tranches of work are let, however, activities within the Account Management area likely to include but are not limited to the following activities: Account management Business analysis and planning Business change management Commercial management Customer relationship management Portfolio management Programme management Project management
