Therapeutic services framework for children adopted and placed on special guardianship order in the AEM region
Notice Description
Adoption East Midlands (AEM), is a Regional Adoption Agency hosted by Nottinghamshire County Council, delivering adoption services for 4 Local Authorities - Derbyshire County Council, Derby City Council, Nottinghamshire County Council and Nottingham City Council. Nottinghamshire County Council (the Council) on behalf AEM is seeking to establish a process to contract with organisations (Providers) able to provide Therapeutic Services, (Framework). In addition, each individual LA's within the AEM region, assumes responsibility for supporting children and families where a Special Guardianship Order is in place, therefore providers who join the Therapeutic Services Framework will also deliver the appropriate interventions to ensure positive outcomes for these families. Details of Services that will be purchased under the Framework by AEM as set out in the service specification. The Framework will remain open for new tenders for the duration of its operation. Bidders may tender for one or more of the following Lots; * Lot 1: Play Therapies * Lot 2: Creative Therapies * Lot 3: Therapeutic/Attachment Focused Parenting Support & Programmes * Lot 4: Therapeutic Life Story work * Lot 5: Psychotherapy * Lot 6: Sensory Integration Processing Therapy * Lot 7: Group Programmes * Lot 8: Specialist Assessments This will be established with an initial duration of initial four-years, with option to extend for a further two one-year extensions, to a maximum of six years.
Lot Information
Category 1 - Play Therapies
2.4.1. Including but not exclusive to Theraplay, Filial Therapy and PCAP (Parent-Child Attachment Play) 2.4.2. Providers must hold a relevant and accredited qualification 2.4.3. In respect to Theraplay, providers and their therapists will be either fully qualified (completed level 2 and the practicum) or have completed level 1 plus 8 supervised sessions and be operating under clinical supervision 2.4.4. Providers and their therapists will be registered in their particular discipline with their professional regulatory body, if using a protected title 2.4.5. Providers will provide any resources or equipment required for the service and to support successful delivery of the intervention. 2.4.6. The service may be required to be delivered in a number of settings including Provider's premises, the family home child/children's' school, virtually where appropriate. Feedback will be required in the form of review meetings and reports.
Category 2 - Creative Therapies2.5.1. Including Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Drama Therapy, Lego Therapy, Dance Movement Therapy 2.5.2. Providers and their therapists will be registered in their particular discipline with their professional regulatory body 2.5.3. Providers and their therapists will have attended training in providing a specific creative therapy 2.5.4. In order to deliver DMT, providers / their therapists must hold a postgraduate qualification in dance movement therapy, accredited by the Association for Dance Movement Therapy (ADMT) UK, 2.5.5. Providers will provide any resources or equipment required for the service and to support successful delivery of the intervention, 2.5.6. The service may be required to be delivered in a variety of settings, 2.5.7. Feedback will be required in the form of a report and review.
Category 3 - Therapeutic/Attachment Focused Parenting Support & Programmes2.6.1. Providers and their therapists will be registered with their professional regulatory body, 2.6.2. Providers will have attended training in attachment theory and / or therapeutic parenting, as well as training (and certification) in specific programmes 2.6.3. Providers will provide any resources or equipment required for the service, 2.6.4. Feedback will be required in the form of a review meeting, outcome measures and a report.
Category 4 - Therapeutic Life Story work2.7.1. Providers and their therapists will be registered in their particular discipline with their professional regulatory body, if using a protected title. 2.7.2. Providers and their therapists will have a Diploma in Therapeutic Life Story Work or equivalent / relevant training and experience necessary to deliver this work. 2.7.3. Providers will provide any resources or equipment required for the service and to support successful delivery of the intervention. 2.7.4. The service may be required to be delivered in a variety of settings. 2.7.5. Feedback will be required in the form of a report
Category 5 - Psychotherapy2.8.1. Including Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Therapy (branch of CBT), Mindfulness Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (MCBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Systemic / multi-systemic Therapy, Solution Focused BRIEF Therapy 2.8.2. All providers and their therapists will hold the relevant qualifications to practice and will be registered in their particular discipline with their professional regulatory body, if using a protected title 2.8.3. In relation to Psychotherapy providers will be registered with UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) or the British Psychoanalytical Council (BPC) 2.8.4. In relation to DDP providers and their therapists will be qualified in DDP to at least Level 2 and receive clinical supervision and to have completed or be working towards the Practicum. 2.8.5. In relation to CBT providers and their therapists must be qualified to level 2 with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies 2.8.6. Providers will provide any resources or equipment required for the service and to support successful delivery of the intervention. 2.8.7. The service may be required to be delivered in a variety of settings. 2.8.8. Feedback will be required in the form of outcome measures and a report
Category 6 - Sensory Integration Processing Therapy2.9.1. Providers will have attended relevant sensory integration training 2.9.2. Providers will be registered in their particular discipline with their professional regulatory body. 2.9.3. Providers will provide any resources or equipment required for the service and to support successful delivery of the intervention 2.9.4. The service may be required to be delivered in a variety of settings 2.9.5. Feedback will be required in the form of a review and a report.
Category 7 - Group Programmes2.10.1. Providers and their therapists must have attended training relevant to group delivery or to a particular group programme, 2.10.2. Providers and their therapists will be registered in their particular discipline with their professional regulatory body, if using a protected title, 2.10.3. Providers will provide any resources or equipment required for the service and to support successful delivery of the intervention, 2.10.4. The service may be required to be delivered in a variety of settings, 2.10.5. Feedback will be required in the form of outcome-based evaluations
Category 8 - Specialist Assessments2.11.1. Providers and their therapists will be a qualified clinician(s) e.g. a trained Clinical Psychologist, Attachment Psychotherapist, Child Psychiatrist, 2.11.2. For the purposes of this agreement, a qualified clinician would be someone who diagnoses and treats patients; is suitably qualified and is licensed to practice via a professional regulatory body, 2.11.3. Feedback will be required in the form of report and review.
