Summary of the contracting process

The Ministry of Defence is currently managing an active procurement process titled "Project Theseus," focusing on administration, defence, and social security services within the UK. This selective tender, which employs a restricted procurement method, is aimed at establishing a framework agreement for experimentation tasks in the field of Autonomous Logistics. The tender period is set to conclude on 19th May 2021, while the overall contract period extends until 31st March 2022. The total value of the contract is £12,500,000, with competitive processes planned for the various taskings allocated within the framework.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in defence services, research and development, and consultancy in autonomous logistics or related fields. Businesses that can demonstrate innovative solutions and a strong capability in managing complex logistics tasks are particularly well-suited to compete. With the framework allowing for up to 999 participants and a focus on competitive tasking processes, organisations that successfully navigate the pre-qualification and invitation to tender phases could establish fruitful partnerships and contribute to the advancement of technology within defence operations.
